This course surveys primary research methods in the humanities. Through directed and independent research, students will gain awareness of and practice researching and working in the humanities. Students will develop and implement archival, qualitative, and quantitative research projects. Through these research projects, students will gain experience developing empirical research questions, designing data collection instruments, analyzing data, and drawing relevant conclusions from data. At the conclusion of the course, students will participate in a research symposium to present their research findings.
