Program Learning Outcomes
- Students will be able to identify and evaluate information technology infrastructure necessary to meet an organization’s business needs.

Program Prerequisite
A passing grade in a college level computer concepts course, equivalent technology course, or sufficient technology work experience. Students who do not meet this requirement must complete an approved college-level computer concepts course or computer technology course before starting the program. Computer courses focusing on office automation tools, such as Microsoft Word or Excel, do not meet the requirement. Please contact an admissions counselor for further information.
Because CIT 2034, CIT 3014, and CIT 3024 are not offered through the MiraCosta program, students starting the program on the MiraCosta campus will need to pass Computer Hardware/Operating Systems, Networking, and Cyber Security courses, plus an additional three (3) units of IT coursework at another college or university and take one extra unit of upper-division CIT coursework.
